BENTON, MO (KFVS) - A Morley man was taken into custody after a business found several Xanax pills on the floor.

Robert Webb, 35, of Morley was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff Rick Walter says the sheriff's office got a call from an area business reporting 15 Xanax pills found by an employee on the floor.

Walter says Webb returned to the store a short time later and was looking for the medication.  He said that it fell from his pocket, according to Walter.

Investigators interviewed Webb and said he did not have a valid prescription for the pills, according to the sheriff.

He was taken to the Scott County Jail on $15,000 bond.
