3 injured in crash on I-57

UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Three people were injured in a wreck on Interstate 57 in Union County Friday morning.

Illinois State Police say it happened around 10:14 a.m. when the driver of a 2005 white Cadillac traveling northbound lost control and crossed the northbound lanes, median and the southbound lanes.

The vehicle came to a rest on the west side of the southbound lanes.

Southbound traffic was stopped for about 30 minutes.

Deborah Reed, 67, and one of her passengers, Larry J. Allen, 38, were transported to the Union County Hospital by Union County ambulance with incapacitating injuries.

A third person, Kisha D. Allen, 42, was taken by helicopter to Saint Francis in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.

The driver and passengers are from Houston, Texas.

Each was wearing his or her seatbelt.

Reed was cited for not having a valid driver's license.

    Caruthersville officers said they arrested 46-year-old Kenneth Flanagan of Caruthersville on two active warrants through Pemiscot County for abuse or neglect of a child.
