PORTAGEVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

Six people were arrested for property damage in Pemiscot County.

According to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, deputies and drug task force agents arrested the six suspects after a surveillance operation Thursday in the north end of the county.

Deputies were called to Rone Farms south of Portageville early Thursday, where they say vehicles had rutting up and caused damage to a planted bean field sometime Wednesday evening or night.

According to the sheriff's office there is $4,000 worth of damage done to the planted field.

Charges are expected to be filed at a later date, according to Capt. Ryan Holder.
