Driver allegedly evades police, arrested at liquor store

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - An overnight police chase ends with an arrest.

It started around 2:15 a.m. Saturday when McCracken County deputies spotted a pick-up truck cross the center line of Old Highway 45 twice. Deputies turned around and tried to stop it on Friendship Road, but the vehicle turned its lights off and tried to evade police.

The truck continued onto Woodview Drive and cut through the yards of two residences and then drove back onto the road. Officers say the chase continued for some time, but the driver was eventually stopped at1241 Liquors near the Graves County Line.

Deputies say 41-year-old David Riley was the driver that tried to elude them.

Riley is now in the McCracken County Jail on a long list of traffic violations, DUI and criminal mischief charges.
