Police look for driver after hit and run of school bus

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - Police are looking for a pickup truck that hit a school bus and left the scene.

A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper says a pickup truck was pulling out of the Rhodes gas station at the intersection of Hwy. 34 and Hwy. 72 west of Jackson when it sideswiped the school bus.

Sgt. Brad Lively says the pickup truck is described as a S-10 pickup truck, different colors black and brown, with a kind of beige.  The driver is a white male with a blue stocking type hat.

The bus was full of children, but no one was hurt.  It caused little damage to the bus.

The man got out of the truck, but got back in and left the scene.

Police are asking for anyone who may have seen the crash or may have known who hit the school bus to come forward.

The bus was able to continue on its route.
