Homeless man arrested for business burglary

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau police have arrested a homeless man accused of a business burglary.

Harvey E. Gaddy, 45, from Cape Girardeau was charged with two counts of burglary and stealing.  Police say Gaddy was homeless.

According to Officer Darin Hickey, the burglary took place overnight on January 25, 2012 at State Beauty Supply at 615 Broadway.  Hickey says several items were taken from the building.

The investigation had been ongoing.  Hickey says on Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m. Gaddy was arrested after he was seen walking down the street.

He was taken to the Cape County Jail on $15,000 bond.
