Man shot in leg, police search for suspect

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

One person was shot after an argument in a parking lot in Carbondale on Wednesday.

Carbondale Police responded to the 300 block of South Illinois Avenue after a report of one person shot.

The victim was in a parking lot when an unknown black male approached him and an argument began.

As the victim fled on foot, he was shot in the leg.

The suspect was seen leaving the area in a white car, driven by an unknown white female. The car could be a white Buick Riviera with unknown registration.

The victim's wounds were not life threatening.  He was treated at a local hospital.
