HOLCOMB, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Highway Patrol says an 14-year-old boy from Holcomb, Mo. was hit by a car after he got off the school bus on Tuesday.
According to police, on Tuesday, April 24 at around 3:30 p.m., Richard E. Mathews, 46, was driving his 1988 Jaguar eastbound on MO 25 when he passed a school bus and a 2004 Chevy, driven by 18-year-old Houston L. Mcewrath from Kennett, Mo., on the right-hand side.
Police say the Jaguar went off the right-side of the road, threw debris onto the Chevy, then hit the Holcomb teen after he got off the bus.
Police say the bus had all the equipment activated. They say the 14-year-old was taken to Twin Rivers Hospital in Kennett by a private vehicle.
