Escaped inmate from Paducah captured

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Paducah Police arrested an inmate Wednesday that escaped Tuesday.

William C. Murrell was arrested Wednesday by Paducah Police and was taken to the McCracken County Jail.

Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement are looking for an escaped inmate from the McCracken County Jail.

William C. Murrell, 20, was last seen about 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday at his work detail in the area of North 13th and H.C. Mathis Drive in Paducah.

Murrell is believed to have left the area on foot. His green jail jumpsuit was located a short distance from the work detail.

Murrell was in jail for theft and drug charges.
