SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Randy's Pharmacy in Sikeston was burglarized late Monday night.
Owner Randy Ackman says someone broke through the front plate glass window at 10:04 p.m. and set off an alarm.
Ackman says the suspect went after hydrocodone and possibly took another type of drug. They are still determining how much and what was taken.
He has been in business for 17 years and this is the first burglary he has had.
Ackman says as the suspect left, it appears the suspect dropped a couple bottles on the floor near the window.
Cape Girardeau Police are also investigating some damage at the Medicap Pharmacy on Kingshighway from overnight. Someone tried to pry the drive-through window open, but was unsuccessful. A lock at the business also had damage. Nothing was taken. Police are investigating.
Police are working to see if this burglary may be connected to the pharmacy burglaries last week in Scott City and Cape Girardeau. No word if they are in fact connected.
