CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The art of storytelling takes center stage this weekend in Cape Girardeau. The 5th Annual Cape Girardeau Storytelling Festival is April 13-15 in the city's downtown.

You'll see two big, white tents downtown.  One off Main Street, the other on the Southeast River Campus.  Inside, there will be many tales!

National and regional storytellers will be sharing their craft during several storytelling sessions.  Organizers say they can make you laugh or make you cry, but they will definitely entertain you!

This year's event features Dan Keding, Jim May, Jennifer Munro, Kim Weitkamp, Larry Brown, and Jessica Carleton.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids and students with an ID.  Tickets can be bought at the gate.  Click here to learn more about the storytellers and the event schedule.
