MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -

The owner of a Malden tanning salon pleaded guilty to child porn and invasion of privacy after police say he secretly filmed female patrons.

Joseph Layland pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of felony invasion of privacy.

Layland was sentenced to 10 years on each porn charge with a four year sentence on the invasion of privacy charge to be served consecutively with the two 10 year sentences, according to Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Sokoloff.

Layland was caught filming female patrons of his tanning salon, DJ's Tan and Tone, in Malden in February 2011.

According to probable cause records, an alleged victim noticed a 1/4 hole in the wall of the tanning salon that tipped off police.

A search revealed more than 12 hours of similar taping and several hundred DVDs of child porn that had been downloaded from the internet.

There was no evidence that Layland posted or shared the videos he created.
