Missing man spotted in Kennett found

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - A missing man from Mississippi who was spotted in Kennett has been found.

Wayne Ward, 77, from Oxford, Mississippi was found Tuesday night around 11 at the intersection of Hwy. 64 and 49 in Fair Oaks, Arkansas.

Ward flagged down a truck driver asking for directions and the truck driver called the police.

He was found in good health.

Police say Ward suffers from the early stages of Alzheimer's and was last seen by his family in Mississippi on Monday before he went missing.

Ward was spotted on surveillance video at "The Store" in Kennett around 8 p.m. Monday.  Police say Ward appeared to be confused in the video.

He was driving a white 2011 F-150 Ford truck.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department and the Ward family thanks the public for their help.
