Hayti man arrested after shots fired in Hayti Heights

Pemiscot County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Hayti man after a domestic disturbance in Hayti Heights.

Alnelius Shamar Fisher, 23, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Fisher's bond is set at $5,000.  Fisher is expected to appear before a judge on Monday, April 16 at 10 a.m.

Sheriff's deputies were called to 162 First St. in Hayti Heights around 1 a.m. Tuesday for a domestic disturbance.

A couple of shots were fired outside the home during a verbal argument.

According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, the suspect left the home before deputies arrived.

Hayti officers found the suspect's vehicle and police stopped it on Interstate 55 at the 15 mile marker.

That's when deputies arrested Fisher.
