Man arrested after another man shot in leg

HOLLAND, MO (KFVS) -

Pemiscot County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man after a man was shot in the leg on April 10 in Pemiscot County near Holland.

Lee Houston, 41, was arrested on a warrants for assault in the first degree and armed criminal action.

Houston was arrested April 17 at a home on Cobbleston Drive in Steele.  He was found in the attic area of the home.

Additional charges are expected to be filed along with the arrests of others.

Pemiscot County Sheriff's deputies were called to a fight in progress on County Hwy. 479 just outside the Holland city limits.

A man was shot in the right leg.

When deputies arrived, they found a man on the front porch with a pistol in his hand.  Another man was standing beside a Chevy Tahoe parked in the driveway with a woman in the area as well.

Deputies negotiated with the man on the porch to put the pistol down.  He and the other two people were restrained.

Deputies learned another man had also been at the home, but left after shots were fired between him and the man on the porch.

The man on the porch had a gunshot wound to the right leg.  He first refused treatment, but deputies took him to the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
