One injured after collision on Old Highway 60

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - One person was taken to the hospital after a collision on Old Highway 60 in McCracken County.

It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Old Highway 60 and Mayfield Metropolis road for a injury crash.

Crash investigators say James Pitt, 49, of Paducah was northbound on Mayfield Metropolis road, and failed to yield right of way to Celeste Seabolt, 28, as she was eastbound on Old Highway 60.

According to the sheriff's office, Pitt pulled into the path of Seabolt.  She then swerved to the right to avoid hitting his driver side door. Afterwards, she hit the rear corner of Pitts car with her SUV before she came to rest in the ditch.

Seabolt was taken to Western Baptist hospital by EMS.

Deputies say both Seabolt and Pitt were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
