HERRIN, IL (KFVS) - Herrin police arrested a man they say has been breaking in to local businesses.

Police picked up 24-year-old Joshua Hileman, of Vienna, Wednesday night on an outstanding warrant.

Investigators questioned him and say he admitted to committing some recent burglaries at Pizza Mike's and the Herrin Burger Nook.

Police say Hileman also confessed to stealing a vehicle from Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.

Hileman is now in the Williamson County Jail.

Police say tips from the public from showing surveillance video in the media helped crack the case.
