LEDBETTER, KY (KFVS) - According to transportation officials, there will be a lane restriction on the US 60 - Tennessee River Bridge at Ledbetter starting on Saturday.
The lane restriction will be from 9 a.m. Saturday, April 7 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 13.
Contractors say the lane restriction will be in place because of a deck expansion joint replacement on the bridge.
According to transportation officials, the bridge will be restricted to a maximum 7.5 ft. load width. They say travel delays should be generally less than 5 minutes.
Drivers are asked should be alert for equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel on the bridge deck.
A new bridge is being built about 1500 ft. upstream from the 81-year-old bridge. The new bridge is expected to be ready for traffic in mid-2014.
