Reward offered after shots fired at truck, animal shelter

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - Kennett police are offering a $500 dollar reward for information about two cases in which shots were fired, damaging two trucks and the animal shelter.

Investigators say someone fired numerous shots at the pound sometime after 10 Friday night.  The lights above the door were shot out and there were 7 to 8 bullet holes in an exterior wall.

No animals were hurt.

Then, later in the weekend, someone fired shots into a truck parked at Ford's Oil just up the road from the pound.

The suspects also fired at the diesel tank as well.

I just can't understand why they would do that," said Officer Tina Petix. "I mean, just go out and shoot something up that is not theirs, just to cause destruction."

Police say they're looking for two suspects in connection with the case.
