OAK RIDGE, MO (KFVS) -

Oak Ridge voters passed a $1.5 million school bond issue that will pay for updates to the school.

Like an aging roof at the elementary school for example.

According to the district superintendent the school is deteriorating, cracking, and could soon become a big problem.

They also want to update the windows, heating and air, and electrical upgrades.

The elementary school has an aging roof.

Officials say it won't increase the current property tax levy, meaning tax payers won't see it drop off in the coming years either.
