Deputies: 19-year-old injured after speeding pickup hits trees

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - One person was sent to the hospital on Saturday after his speeding pickup ran off the road and hit some trees, according to deputies.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday the McCracken County deputies got a call for an injury collision in the 4100 block of Husbands Road.

Alex C. Driver, 19, of Paducah, was driving a pick-up northbound on Husbands Road too fast going into a curve and lost control of his truck, according to the sheriff's office.  The truck then left the road on the right side and hit several trees.

Deputies say Driver was treated on scene and  transported to Western Baptist hospital for incapacitating injuries by Mercy Regional EMS.

The roadway was closed for around half an hour for the investigation and the clean-up of the collision.
