Ky. man airlifted to hospital after SUV hits motorcycle

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Two people were injured after a SUV and motorcycle collision in McCracken County.

It happened Saturday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m. on Clarks River Road near Harned's Restaurant.

According to state police, Vicky Duff, 59, of Bardwell, Ky. was pulling out of a parking lot and attempting to cross the east lanes of Clarks River Road when she pulled into the path of Bobby Dedmon, 36, of Smithland, Ky.

Troopers say Dedmon was eastbound and unable to avoid Duff's vehicle on the driver's side, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.

Troopers say Dedmon was not wearing a helmet.

Duff and Dedmon were both taken to Lourdes Hospital with injuries.  Dedmon was later airlifted by PHI to Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

Troopers say Duff was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The investigation continues by state police.
