Mega Millions mania hits the Heartland

Lottery ticket lines were crowded Friday as players drawn by a record $640 million Mega Millions jackpot, cast aside concerns about odds to take a chance at becoming an overnight millionaire.

We take you live to southeast Missouri and southern Illinois where folks are lining up in hopes of a jackpot!  We will give you the odds of winning almost half a billion dollars tonight at five.

What could you buy with $640 million? How about the St. Louis Cardinals?

Bob Reeves says a few afternoon and evening T'storms are possible, with a chance of some strong storms.

Lt. Governor Sheila Simon visited The Women's Center in Carbondale Friday to advocate for legislation that would restore funding to sexual assault prevention agencies.  The legislation would require all strip clubs that permit alcohol to pay a $5-per-patron fee.
