POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - Poplar Bluff Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a robbery at an ATM Wednesday morning.
Gregory Jones, 31, East Midland Street in Poplar Bluff was arrested on a charge of robbery 1st degree. Chief Deputy Jeff Roland says a woman was robbed at an ATM at First Community Bank on South Broadway just before 6 a.m.
According to Poplar Bluff Police, a 57-year-old woman using the ATM outside the bank was pushed away by a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, who appeared to be carrying a gun.
The suspect stole $60 as it was dispensed by the ATM and ran on foot.
According to Lt. David Sutton, officers reviewed video captured by the ATM surveillance cameras and recognized the suspect as Jones. Jones was found at his home and arrested without incident.
Police say the stolen money and a BB gun used in the robbery were recovered from Jones' home.
Police say Jones was taken the Butler County Jail pending review of the case by the Butler County Prosecuting Attorney.
