Volunteers help rebuild Stoddard County home

About twenty volunteers from several states came out to help a Stoddard County family rebuild their home.

The crew started this morning about 8 a.m., and by the time they broke for lunch, the house looked like this.

The Jackson family bought the material, but the crew worked for free.

Two weeks ago, the Jackson's home was destroyed by the severe weather that blew through Puxico area.

Susan Jackson was appreciative of the effort.

"Looking about like what it did minus some windows and doors," said Jackson.  "That's what we had planned. We are very blessed to have met these men, and for them to be doing it for us."

The family tells Heartland News, that if the workers continue on this pace, they could move into their home as early as Saturday.
