New lottery ticket sales to benefit MS research

CHICAGO (AP) - The Illinois Lottery is launching an instant ticket that funds research to battle multiple sclerosis.

The game is called Mission Move and is expected to generate over $1 million.

Lottery officials say all proceeds will be donated to research.

It's the third special proceeds game funding multiple sclerosis research. The Illinois Lottery and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society have raised nearly $5 million from lottery sales since 2008.

The Illinois Lottery was founded in 1974. Lottery officials say it's contributed more than $17 billion to the state funds, including for schools and capital projects.
