UT Martin women to play Tennessee in NCAA Tourney

MARTIN, TN (KFVS) -

The University of Tennessee Martin women's basketball team has received a 15th seed in the NCAA tournament and will open up against number 2 seeded Tennessee on Saturday March 17th.

Tip off is set for 3:10pm at Allstate Arena in Chicago.

The Skyhawks are the champions of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Volunteers the winners of the Southeastern Conference.

UT Martin is 2-13 all-time against Tennessee, with the only two victories coming in the 1971 and 1972 seasons when Tennessee coach Pat Summitt played at UT Martin.
