Copper wire theft leaves thousands in damage

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Pemiscot County deputies are investigating the theft of copper wiring from the Channel Water Treatment Facility south of Holland, Mo.

Deputies say they received the report on March 8.

Investigators learned that the suspects had removed the wiring from the meter base and used a vehicle to pull additional wiring buried underneath the ground resulting in several thousand dollars in damages.

The sheriff's office is working with consolidated public water sewer district in offering a reward to the arrest and conviction to those responsible for the theft and damage.
