WKU building to be demolished

BOWLING GREEN, KY (WAVE) – A Western Kentucky University building will be demolished after an inspection uncovered significant structural damage.

The Rock House was built using a flat irregular limestone rocks and was originally a private home.

The age of the house is uncertain but it predates WKU, which opened in 1906.

The house has been used by the anthropology department since 1996 as a teaching and research lab and as a place to house archaeological collections.
