Mo. teacher accused of assaulting student resigns

A Central High School teacher accused of assaulting a student in a downtown Cape Girardeau parking lot has submitted his letter of resignation.

A home in Anna is a total loss after an early morning fire. The fire chief says a combination of working fire alarms and the smell of smoke woke the family and allowed them time to get out alive.
