40 new jobs coming to Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

H.T. Hackney Company and Paducah leaders announced the addition of 40 jobs in Paducah and a new distribution facility.

The wholesale distributor, which already has a distribution center in Kentucky, made the announcement Wednesday.

Paducah's strategic location and state tax breaks helped them make their decision to add the jobs at the western Kentucky facility, according to the company.

The new distribution center is four years in the making and is a $15 million dollar investment in the Paducah Distribution Center.

H.T. Hackney employs 117 full-time workers.  The new distribution facility is 166,261 square feet.   The company is one of the largest wholesale distributors in the United States, with 30 supply centers serving more than 20,000 retail customers in 22 states.
