Two men accused in a counterfeiting ring in southeast Missouri were arrested in Alabama on robbery charges.

Terry Hester, 28, and Darius Lankford, 28 were arrested in Alabama on robbery charges.

Hester and Lankford were the last two of the five people wanted in a counterfeit ring.

According to the indictment, Darius Robinson, Brynet Trice, Terry Hester, Darius Lankford, and Jessica Gross spent the money they made at businesses in Cape Girardeau, Dexter, Sikeston, and Poplar Bluff.

Poplar Bluff Police Det. Greg Brainard says Hester and Lankford traveled south to their hometown of Huntsville, AL where they conducted at least one armed robbery together.

Lankford was arrested on Nov. 13, 2011 and charged with two counts of first degree robbery and arrest prior to requisition.

Hester was arrested on Jan. 6 and charged with first degree robbery and arrest prior to requisition.

Both have no bond are being held in the Madison County Jail in Alabama.

Police are making arrangements for the two suspects to come back to Missouri to face the federal charges.

Jessica Gross of Poplar Bluff, Brynet Trice of Poplar Bluff and Darius Robinson, of Huntsville, Alabama have already been arrested.

The investigation started when complaints were coming from Poplar Bluff area merchants to police about the passing of counterfeit $10, $20 and $50 bills.

The suspects and vehicles description, and still images captured from store surveillance video were given to local police. Chief of Police Danny Whiteley contacted the United States Secret Service for assistance.

During a interview of Brynet Trice, police say three of her co-planners came to her apartment building and fled after seeing the investigators.

The area was searched and Darius Robinson of Huntsville, Alabama was arrested after he swam across Black River in an effort to escape. At the time of his arrest, Robinson had six counterfeit $20 bills, Sutton said.
