Volunteers started helping teachers move back into their classrooms at Blanchard Elementary in Cape Girardeau on Thursday.
Several people showed up to help load up huge trucks to bring supplies back across town.
A fire in December 2011 damaged several classrooms inside their school.
They've been holding class at Lynwood Baptist Church.
School leaders say there's still a little work to be done, but classes are set to resume on Monday.
"The rooms that had the most intense fire damage are still being worked on," said Principal Dr. Barbara Kohlfield. "One is a work room, the other is a special education room, so we'll work around that."
Dr. Kohlfeld says they're all extremely grateful for all the community support.
