FISK, MO (KFVS) -

Butler County Sheriff's deputies found the body of a missing man Monday near Fisk.

Butler County Sheriff's Mark Dobbs says the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri Highway Patrol recovered the body of 58-year-old Larry Boyers from some brush along the side of the St. Francis River near Fisk.

Family members reported Boyers missing Christmas night and crews went searching for him Monday.

Sheriff's Deputies found articles of his clothing in an area near the river.

Coroner Jim Akers and Sheriff Dobbs say initial findings don't show any signs of foul play.

"There's nothing that indicates there was anything out of the ordinary, from the circumstance, it looks to be pretty much in step with a natural cause of death a drowning or something like that, but that's something the coroner to sift through and sort out" said Dobbs.

Dobbs says the area hasn't been a problem like this before.

"Not really, it's not really any area that's kind of prone to it. We think it might have been something along the lines of a medical condition or something like that, that might have led to the situation," said Dobbs.
