Today is Monday, December 5, 2011
Wow, we've had an amazingly wet couple of days across the Heartland. I guess there's good news here - it's not snow (unless that's what you want). You can start watching Brian's early morning forecast at 4:30 on The Breakfast Show. Then, starting this morning at 6 Laura will also be talking weather on The Breakfast Show. That's right - TWO local weather experts to help you get your day started each weekday morning!
This morning Tyler will be telling us about some pretty major changes being planned for the Post Office. Changes that could affect how you mail bills and anything else that has to be somewhere quickly!
Sadly, this morning we're also talking about yet another house fire in the area. This time it's an Alexander County family that's lost their home. That makes at least 4 house fires in the last week alone.
This morning at 5:20, Jim and Lauren are talking politics. Over the weekend Herman Cain suspended his campaign. So what does this mean for the other front runners in the GOP?
Then, around 5:25 we have a true tale of a woman who was scammed out of hundreds of dollars on Craigslist. She was so desperate to sell some furniture she looked right past the red flags. Do you know what to look for to find a scam?
Then at 6 this morning, an update on the investigation into WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. But this has nothing to do with leaking government secrets.
And did you notice over the weekend gas prices fell a little? Well that's what happened across the country, but around the Heartland it really depends on not only what state you live in but what community you fill up in. We're talking more about this 6 this morning. But remember you can always check out the cheapest reported gas prices in the Heartland on our web site 24/7.
6:10 a.m. - should there be an age limit (or any limits) on who the TSA searches at airport security? That's the question being raised after an elderly grandmother with a walker claims she was strip searched!
Then, if you're watching The Breakfast Show around 6:40 this morning, see why 3D televisions could actually be hurting your children.
I hope you can join all of us, including Jim, Lauren, Brian, Laura, Stephanie and Tyler this morning - we all really appreciate your checking in each day as you get ready.
