DYER COUNTY, TN (KFVS) - Emergency management are watching and waiting as flooding remains a possibility this week.
In Dyer County, some people say all this rain has them on alert as emergency management directors warn flooding is possible.
With several inches of rain in the forecast before Wednesday, Emergency Management Director James Medling says some areas of the city and county could be at risk.
However, Medling wants to caution while they are watching it closely, he does not anticipate anything close to this past spring's floods or any for reason to panic.
Concern surrounds not only the Mississippi River but also the Obion and North Fork Forked Deer Rivers.
Medling says he's most concerned about southern parts of the city and county.
