MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Santa Train is rolling the holidays into a ride of a life time.
The Santa Train is going into it's third year of providing a unique holiday experience to thousands of families across Southern Illinois.
The trains roll out of the Crab Orchard & Egyptian Railroad station at 514 N. Market on Saturday and Sunday.
Trains depart the station at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day.
And they'll keep rolling on December 10 and 11. Then again on December 17 and 18.
On Saturday there were plenty of smiles on the faces of kids and their parents as the conductor gave the final call, 'for all aboard'.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Santa Claus. And the train is really cool," said Emily Reames who was along for her first-ever train ride in her life.
"We have a special guest on board the train. Once we start rolling along Santa goes through and visits with the kids and adults," said Conductor Justin Sobeck. "He picks up their Christmas Wish List, and sees what their expectations were for the holiday based on how they've behaved over the past year."
