Harrisburg man convicted on child porn charges

BENTON, IL (KFVS) -

A Harrisburg man has been convicted of possessing more than 100 videos containing child pornography.

Larry D. Robinson, 62, of Harrisburg was convicted of the crime on Wednesday, Nov. 29 following a two day trail in US District Court in Benton, Ill.

Robinson was placed into the custody of the US Marshall's Service until his sentencing scheduled for February 24, 2012.

He faces up to 10-years in prison or lifetime supervised release and up to a $250,000 fine.

According to the US attorney's office, Robinson was charged on May 7, 2010 with possessing child pornography.

Evidence brought forth at the trial showed law enforcement officers seized two computers on May 7, 2010 at Robinson's home. Forensic analysis revealed the computers contained 127 pornographic videos. Robinson admitted to police officers that he was responsible for the videos, according to the US attorney's office.
