PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A traffic stop in Interstate 55 led to a marijuana and cocaine bust early Monday morning.
A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper stopped a Ford F-350 pick-up traveling northbound in Pemiscot County for a traffic violation just after midnight on Nov. 28.
The trooper became suspicious and got permission to search the truck.
The trooper found 100 pounds of processed marijuana and four kilograms of cocaine in a locked toolbox in the bed of the truck.
Manuel P. Rivera, 43, of Houston, Texas and his passenger, Lorena Ibarra, 36, of Beach Pike, Illinois were arrested for multiple drug trafficking charges.
