Makers of the Bulldog Remote Start system say theirs is the easiest to install yourself.

We asked a car dealer who knows his way around automobiles to first give it a try. After multiple attempts and even watching the included DVD, we stalled.

We then asked a mechanic with 20 years experience who, of course, got it running in about 1 1/2 hours. He says though installation typically takes the average person two hours.

He says the instructions on this particular program could be troubling for the average person. Still, our test found car junkies might like this kit, especially it's $75 to $150 price range. Let's sound the horn and give is a C on this Does it Work test.
