(KFVS) - Several bands of sleet mixing with rain along Interstate 24 in Marshall, Livingston, and Lyon county have been reported Monday morning, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Pavement temperatures should remain warm enough to melt frozen precipitation as if falls, according to KYTC.
There is a change of snow flurries Monday and Tuesday nights.
Drivers are urged to slow down, use appropriate caution when they encounter freezing precipitation, and adjust their driving to meet road surface conditions. It is possible snow or sleet could fall in quantities substantial enough to allow some accumulation, particularly along the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line.
Highway crews will be evaluating conditions and are on standby to respond appropriately.
