3 Ste. Gen. teens sustain serious injuries in crash

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Three Ste. Genevieve teenagers sustained serious injuries after a crash Saturday night in Ste. Genevieve County.

The crash happened shortly before 10:15 p.m. on Route Y, 2/10 mile east of Roth Road.

According to the highway patrol, a 16-year-old male from Ste. Genevieve failed to negotiate a curve with his car, went off the right side of the road and hit an embankment  with the car going airborne. The car then came to a rest in a creek bed.

The 16-year-old driver received serious injuries and was taken by EMS to a Jefferson County hospital.

Two passengers were also injured in the wreck.

A 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male both of Ste. Genevieve sustained serious injuries and were taken by EMS to a Farmington hospital.

Troopers say both the driver and passengers were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
