KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City police say they shot and killed a suspect after a shootout and then found two other people dead inside a home.
The shooting occurred Thursday evening after officers were sent to a home in eastern Kansas City on a report of a burglary in progress.
Police say in a news release that when officers arrived, a suspect began firing at police. They returned fire, killing the suspect.
When officers entered the home they found two bodies inside and took one adult female into custody.
No other details were immediately available.
