Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Linda Cloninger from Brownwood, Missouri:
"Someone wrote into YourTurn and said we needed to keep religion out of our politics…if we had more religion in our politics and our lives, the world would not be in the shape it is now. We certainly would not be facing the problems…the more religion we have in our politics the better."
Ellen Ford from Jackson, Missouri:
"If pro-choice (advocates) can choose to end the lives of their unborn, then I am certainly capable of taking responsibility for my vehicular safety. The government has enough on its plate without forcing legislation to protect us. I have driven for 56 years, without a seatbelt, without child restraints, and without a helmet while riding a motorcycle. My parents raised nine children without the benefit of seat belts and we all survived…government should let the rest of us alone, we are adults and should make our own choices."
Brad Farrow from Millersville, Missouri:
"My computer needs a tune-up and I KNOW I can find some young person who is struggling to get a repair business up and running. Local craft people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, pottery, and beautiful wooden boxes. Plan your holiday outings at local, owner-operated restaurants and leave the servers a nice tip. Musicians need love too so find a venue showcasing local bands…when we care about our communities the benefits come back in ways we could not imagine. This is (and should be) the new American Christmas tradition."
