Wanted Anna man arrested near Jonesboro

ANNA, IL (KFVS) - Authorities arrested a wanted man Wednesday afternoon in rural Jonesboro.

Authorities had asked for the public's help finding Bryan T. Todd.

Todd was arrested at 3 p.m. by the Union County Sheriff's Department near Old Cape Road in rural Jonesboro.

Todd was wanted on a warrant for residential burglary and possession of stolen firearms. He has also previously been charged with unlawful possession of weapon by a felon.

Sheriff David Livesay says his officers tried to take Todd into custody Tuesday night, but Todd ran.  After a short pursuit and Todd crashed his car and took off on foot.  That started a several hour man hunt in an area south of Anna surrounding Highway 51.

But Todd was not found Tuesday night.

Police found the stolen 1991 Ford Escort, 2 door hatchback with faded paint that he was suspected to be driving.

The Union County State's Attorney's Office and the Union County Sheriff's Department thank the public and media for their cooperation.
