Armed robbery investigation in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Police in Carbondale are looking for two suspects they say robbed a man at gunpoint.

According to police, it happened around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17th.

The victim told police two men walked up to him outside of his home in the 800 block of East Grand Avenue and demanded some of his property.

According to police, the suspects forced the man into his home where one of the suspects held the victim and other people in the home while his partner checked out the house. Investigators say the two men stole several items from the house before running away.

Police describe the suspects as black men with long braided hair. During the crime, they were both wearing black or dark hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.
