GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A propane tank truck overturned early Saturday evening in Graves County, Ky. injuring the driver.
According to state police, it happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Shaw Road.
Troopers say the truck was eastbound on Shaw Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the side of the road. The driver overcorrected causing the truck to hydroplane and overturn.
The propane tank was carrying 2200 lbs. of propane, but the gas did not leak out, according to police.
Darren Wiggins, 42, of Sedalia, Ky. was taken by EMS to a local hospital with injuries. Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Shaw Road was closed for several hours to allow for cleanup of the crash, and to transfer the propane to another truck.
Troopers were assisted by Lowe's Fire Department, Melber Fire Department, Graves County Sheriff's Department, Graves County EMS and Emergency Management.
