DYER COUNTY, TN (KFVS) -

Authorities were leading a search Saturday morning near the Mississippi River for a missing Dyer County woman.

Karen Swift, 44, was last seen Sunday, October 30 around 1:30 a.m. at her home.

Sheriff Jeff Box tells Heartland News several items of interest have been recovered Saturday that could become possible evidence.

Sheriff Box says that volunteers are searching the woods, water and roadways near the river on the west side of Dyer County. He says around 40 people had searched the Millsfield area early Saturday morning.

The sheriff says they have enough volunteers to search the areas they are focusing on today. He says notice will be given if any more volunteers are needed on Saturday.

Sheriff Box states this is still a missing persons case.

Dyer County Emergency Management, Dyer County Fire Department and Dyer County Rescue Squad are assisting the sheriff's department in the search.

If you have any information about the case please call authorities.

You can reach the Dyer County Sheriff's Dept at: 731-285-2802.
