DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Investigators have identified three people accused of beating and robbing a man at gunpoint Thursday in Dunklin County.
According to the sheriff's office, warrants were issued for Torrance Reed of Hayti, Livirous L. Turner of Kennett and Brittany Jarrett of Kennett. All three were charged with class A felony robbery first degree, class B felony kidnapping and felony armed criminal action.
Police say Jarrett was in custody and was taken to the Dunklin County Justice Center on $75,000 cash-only bond.
Authorities are still looking for Reed and Turner. They are believed to be in the Hayti area. Police say the vehicle used in the robbery was found in Hayti and impounded.
A 21-year-old victim told sheriff's deputies the theft and beating occurred around 2:30 Thursday afternoon. This was following the victim getting a ride with three suspects who were supposed to take him to Beaton Street in Kennett.
Instead, the victim says the suspects took him to County Road 434, which is a gravel road east of Kennett.
Once there he says, one suspect grabbed him by the throat and put a gun to his head, police said.
The three then stole the victim's cell phone, cash, ball cap and mp-3 player.
Then the victim says someone pushed him out of a green Chevy Malibu and drove off.
Sheriff Bob Holder says the suspects were two black men and a white woman.
