PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

An installed security surveillance camera helped deputies to catch suspects accused of stealing a washer and dryer and other items from a Marshall County home.

Jamie T. Brown, 34, of Paducah and Rex Daniel Story III, 24, of Paducah were arrested and charged with burglary second degree and theft by unlawful taking over $500

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened Monday at a home on Minter Road.

The victim told deputies someone burglarized his home and stole a washer, dryer and other items valued at over $1,500. He also told deputies that he had a trail camera pointed towards his house that is used commonly by hunters.

Deputies say the camera showed two men going into the house and taking the washer and dryer and loading it into a truck.

Investigators with Marshall and McCracken County Sheriff's Offices identified the suspects on Wednesday.

Deputies say when Brown was found, he was in the process of stealing a catalytic converter from a parked minivan in Ledbetter. Story was found at his home in Paducah and was taken into custody.

Both suspects were taken to the McCracken County Jail. The investigation is continuing, according to the sheriff's office.

Livingston County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police assisted in the investigation.
